Ace of Diamonds

A message for you

Once upon a time, there was a city whose houses seemed to be built of whispering shadows and golden rays of sunlight. In that very city lived a young archivist named Liora, whose eyes were like two clear lakes and whose heart carried a curious melody. One day, she found a crumpled piece of paper in the old archives with the following note:

«MATURITY»
Acting in harmony with the laws of life and nature.
A conscious, committed yes to what each day brings.
Possessions. Wealth.

Generosity in dealing with it.
A good nose for resources.
A solution is always in the air!

This note struck Liora like a bolt of lightning! Her longing and hope for a life in which these words were not just empty phrases, but became a reality in her daily life, were rekindled more urgently than ever. She realized immediately that she needed some time to let the words on the note sink in.

She left the bare rooms of the archive and rode her bike to the outskirts of town. There she met the farmer, who showed her how to sow seeds in the well-tended soil so that patience would yield a bountiful harvest. She saw how people used their resources carefully. It was as if the words on the note were coming to life right before her eyes with every observation.

Now she realized: “MATURITY” does not mean sacrifice, but rather a conscious, respectful lifestyle. Saying “yes” to what each day brings also means saying “yes” to responsibility. Possessions and wealth are only truly meaningful when they are in harmony with nature and people and are shared with one another.

The path led Liora on to a school where children learned how to turn dreams into reality without compromising the balance of the earth. There she learned that maturity also means setting clear boundaries while remaining generous: generous with time, with listening, and with resources. A keen sense for resources—that was no sacrilege against ownership, but rather an art of getting the most out of what has been created without wasting anything.

One evening, as the sky turned shades of purple and gold, Liora sat at a small table in the town square. The canopy of the linden tree above her filled her with the wise rustling of possibilities.
